September Kit

Our September Kit is for the Versa Cowl by Aimee Pelletier of Darn Knit Anyway, who very graciously gave me permission to use this free pattern. 

This color combination is Papa's Heart and The Old Man. Papa's Heart was the colorway I debuted at Trailing of the Sheep in Sun Valley last year.

My dear friend and neighbor spent a lot of time in Sun Valley when she was a child, and because of her connection, I asked her to name this colorway for me. She named it "Papa's Heart". Papa Hemingway was a dear friend of her family--she remembers sitting on his lap and lighting his cigar with a wooden match! She said, "He had so many depths to his soul," and I'm honored that she saw some of that depth reflected in this colorway.

I dyed The Old Man as a contrast color for the Versa Cowl I made her for Christmas.  I'm so excited to offer this kit to you.  

The Versa Cowl is a great take along project--just knits and purls in the round. I loved watching the magic of the colorwork happen.  It was a quick knit.  Wear it all the way open, stripes out, or colorwork out.  It's so versatile.

The kit contains two skeins of delightfully squishy worsted weight 70% merino/10% cashmere/20% silk yarn, 190 yd/100g; one each of Papa's Heart and The Old Man, and will also include a link to the free pattern.
