FAQs

When will my order ship?

Most orders ship within two business days.  If we anticipate a delay in fulfilling or shipping your order, we will contact you ASAP.

What are your shipping charges?

If you don't hit the $100 mark, we offer you several options for shipping through USPS and UPS. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout and depends on your location and the weight and size of your package.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Whatever is most convenient for you!  We accept all major credit cards, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay, Facebook/Meta Pay, Venmo, and PayPal.

If you have applied and been approved by Shop Pay Installments, we gladly accept four monthly interest-free payments via Shop Pay Installments.

Can I change or cancel my order before it ships?

If you need to cancel or change your order, please email Kristin as soon as possible: kristin@bluesavannah.com.

We are happy to change your shipping address after your order is placed as long as it has not yet been accepted by the shipping carrier. If you need to change your shipping address, please email Kristin as soon as possible.

Orders cannot be changed or canceled once they have been shipped. Canceled orders will be refunded minus a 10% restocking fee.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

You can exchange unused products in their original packaging/condition within 15 days of purchase date.

To start a return, please email Kristin at kristin@bluesavannah.com to be certain your product qualifies. She will email you a return label free of charge.

You can find our entire refund policy here.

Do dye lots matter?

Blue Savannah Yarn and Fiber are all hand dyed by Kristin. She uses a centimeter gram scale to weigh dyes so colorways can be reproduced as accurately as possible. Variations between dyelots will still occur. Please purchase enough yarn from a single dye lot to complete your project.

What is the best way to wash hand dyed yarn?

Blue Savannah products are dyed using acid dyes. Dyes are fully set and fibers are pH balanced before leaving the studio; however, different water quality and detergent choices may cause some bleeding to happen during washing. To achieve best results, please follow these washing instructions for your hand spun skeins or finished projects:

  • Wash in cold (70 degree) water with wool wash and a splash of white vinegar
  • Drain wash water and gently squeeze water out of skein or project
  • Rinse by soaking in cold water with a splash of vinegar for 10 minutes. Gently squeeze out water. Repeat if necessary. This step restores the yarn's pH level.
  • Hang skein or shape project and lay flat to dry.

Who do I contact if I have a concern about an order or shipping?

Kristin is glad to look into any concerns you have about your order.  Please email her at kristin@bluesavannah.com.

What's for dinner?

If it's not 4:30 p.m., I have no idea.  What I do know is that at least one child will eat heartily, and at least one child will eat not a bite.
